With honor and gratitude, I welcome you to the official website of the Lovely Lambda Beta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Over 105 years ago, our founders set out to build a sisterhood upon the foundation of strength, unity, service, scholarship, and social stature. Continuing the legacy laid by our founders, the Lambda Beta chapter was chartered on January 21, 1977 on the campus of what was then Towson State College (presently Towson University). Lambda Beta has hosted countless enriching forums for our campus community, mentored many young girls in our local Baltimore area, and made donations to many charitable organizations. Embracing a group of ambitious college women dedicated to rendering “Service to All Mankind,” Lambda Beta is a chapter of high scholastics and unmatched sisterhood set out to make a difference.

Since Lambda Beta’s reactivation in Fall 2010, we have made many accomplishments. In 2011, Towson University’s Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life awarded us the Most Improved Chapter award, Outstanding Community Service award, and the Highest GPA award.  At the 2012 North Atlantic Regional Conference (NARC), Lambda Beta received the Shining Star Service award, the President’s Volunteer Service award, and was recognized as the chapter that donated the most money (per soror) to Heifer, International.  

Continuing to plan and implement programs and service projects based off of our current National signature program, Lambda Beta invites you to join us on our journey of “Global Leadership through Timeless Service” as we serve our campus, community, and sisterhood.
